Chandler Foreman received the surprise of her life when she was named Miss Black Texas
USA Talented Teen 2013. In her very first pageant, she stole the hearts’ of the
judges and the coveted title. The 15-year-old is a sophomore at Manvel High
School. Being amongst her high school peers allowed Chandler to see how
decisions that teens make affect their future goals and dreams for the good or
the bad. Wanting more for the next generations, Chandler started implementing
her platform C.H.A.N., an acronym that stands for Choosing
Happily Abstaining Naturally. Through C.H.A.N. Chandler encourages preteens to
abstain from any behaviors and activities that could negatively impact their
future.
Chandler is an accomplished athlete, flutist
and preteen mentor is 1st chair flute in the Manvel Wind Ensemble,
member of the Marching Band, Debate Team, and Maverick Girls Track Club. She is
also a five-time track and field Junior Olympian Sprinter with the Wings Track
Club. She serves her community as a volunteer with Royal Priesthood Toddler
Ministry at her church, Word of Restoration Fellowship. Other affiliations
include Generation Holy Nation Youth Ministry.
Chandler has a
diverse music taste and enjoys listening to all genres and playing her flute. She dreams of the day when she will have
a successful career in the music, theater, and/or film industries and win a
Grammy for the music, a Tony for being on Broadway and an Oscar for being on
the big screen.
In her spare time, Chandler enjoys spending
time and listening to her grandparents share their history and how it applies
to her everyday life. Thus, she has a great appreciation for the elderly.
