Her professional affiliations include National
Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and Sports Financial
Advisors Association. Socially, she is a member of the North Harris County
Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Inc., a licensed HIV/AIDs educator through
the American Red Cross of Houston, a member of the Houston City-Wide Volunteer
Organization, and a “Money Matters” course instructor for the Women’s Resource
of Greater Houston where she enjoys the unique privilege of helping victims of
domestic violence, and formerly incarcerated women rebuild their lives
financially. Jones also volunteers as a facilitator for Project LEAD, an
initiative designed to promote financial literacy amongst teenage girls at
various high schools within inner city Houston and serves as campaign treasurer
to various politicians in the Greater Houston Area. Featured in several
publications, Shunte’s work as a young professional, community volunteer, and
philanthropist underscore her worthiness as a successful advisor.
A native of Marshall, Texas, Shunte is an avid
reader and amateur boxer. She enjoys traveling, the great outdoors,
volunteering, cooking and meeting new and exciting people.
